22K and bone carving of "year of the rat" Each item of jewelry is inspected and ultrasonically cleaned (if the piece permits) before we place it for sale. Special attention is focused on ring prongs. If a ring needs retipping, or new prongs, we'll see to that also. Nothing is spared to ensure your complete satisfaction.

Some gemstones (e.g. opals, emeralds, pearls, etc.), especially those set in rings, might show slight signs of wear, particularly in older pieces. Diamonds, rubies and sapphires generally do not show these age indicators since they are so hard. We will note in the description if any item has more than its fair share of wear and tear.

We warrant everything we sell to be as described: gold will be gold; diamonds will be diamonds; specific gemstones will be genuine; all known repairs, chips, cracks, spindles and mutilations will be noted. Period.

We do not sell on approval and consider all sales final, unless not as represented.

Garnet and marcasite crossDetermination of an older piece of jewelry's age is sometimes problematical. Art Deco, Art Nouveau, Retro, etc., usually have pretty well defined characteristics. Other pieces may not display their era or circa readily. We base our estimates of age on our many years of experience handling thousands of pieces of jewelry. If any differences of opinion occur, we'd appreciate your opinion.
